Writing Strategies:

1) In the Prompt-put a tick over each item you have answered to make sure you have answered all that is required.

2) Answer more than you are required. For example, if you are required to list five points, list six or seven just to be safe!

3) Use a variety of verb tenses: present (hablo), present progressive (estoy hablando), near future (voy a hablar), preterite (hablé), imperfect (habló), imperfect and preterite together (yo hablaba por teléfono cuando mi mamá entró), future (hablaré), present perfect (he hablado), conditional (hablaría, me gustaría hablar), future (hablaré)

4) Organize your text in paragraphs and use CONNECTORS.

5) Count your words once you have finished and write it at the bottom to assure you have written enough words.

6) Proof read what you have written looking to fix common errors with noun/adjective agreement, subject/verb agreement, verb tense, ser/estar, por/para, etc…

7) Make sure you have written in the CORRECT FORMAT!

8) Make sure you have included CULTURE in your writing!!!!
Eg…Baile Flamenco, La Corrida de Toros, La arquitectura Espanola y Arabe (Gaudi-La Sagrada Familia…, Los Musulmanes- La Alambra, La Mesquita), Los monumentos/ciudades famosos en paises latinoamericanos, la comida espanola, los costumbres (la siesta, la vida nocturna, los cafes, los amigos, los saludos, besos, el espacio personal, etc. etc…)

Also use language that shows culture…
